• Biography

The ensemble Les Rémouleurs was founded in 1983 and has developed into one of the most innovative puppet and shadow theatre groups in France.

Coming from street theatre, the group, likes play in theater of course, but also to rather unexpected spaces – bars, farms, libraries or even churches – in order to reach out to an audience that might usually not find its way into a theatre.
The Rémouleurs always explores new territories in the field of image projection and stage performance and builds for themselves but also for other companies, machinery theater (Liquid Mirror, price Arts 2009, Cyclops / Camera Lucida, price Louis Jouvet 2002, smokescreen, various aerial vehicles, etc.).

January 6, 2013: Vortex Temporum - Rentilly Castle - France: a show of projections in the sky on a bird tulle of 8m scale carried by balloons

March 2, 2013: Freaks - Grand Parquet – Paris - puppet show in a bar, on the theme of monstrosity

September 15, 2012: Perpetuum - Fontainebleau - France: theatrical show of giant shadows on facade
