- Biography
Marion Gambin was born in Paris in 1985 where she currently lives and works for the press (including Libération, Le Monde and Causette) and businesses.
After obtaining a DNAP (national diploma in art) at the University of fine art of Toulouse (2008), she joined the Louis-Lumière photography section in which she graduated in June 2011.
Her work has been noticed in competitions like the bourse talent (category «Reportage» and "Portrait") and price "discovery" of the UPP. In December 2011, her project Gulmarg has been exhibit at PhotoPhnomPenh festival organized in Cambodia and curated by Christian Caujolle. From her stay comes the Olympic Stadium series show in 2013 at the «Rain Images » festival in Brest with Gulmarg series. Her personal work deals with the notion of territory in a documentary vein where the choice of portrait is strongly affirmed.
Marion Gambin has recently win the grant «Young Clicks » of the Fondation of France for her project entitled Between 2 places docudrama in the highway world, the project is part of the collective mission " France (s) Liquid Territory " to discover in 2014. She also participates in a carte blanche held by the Samaritaine that will be exposed as part of Paris - Photo.
