• Biography

Since 1992, and with more than a thousand concerts around the world, Les Yeux Noirs continue their tzigano-rock and pop-Yiddish journey!

An epic journey in off borders, flamboyant world, an exhilarating adventure in Roms and poets universe!

The band Les Yeux Noirs was created by Eric and Olivier Slabiak. With a first prize of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in their hands, the two brothers played in various cabarets and restaurants which play music from Eastern Europe. They learn the vast gypsy and Yiddish repertoire which they have a passion for, passion provided by their uncles, musicians themselves.

Outside the Paris scenes, Les Yeux Noirs also rotate in France and worldwide. Since 1993, Les Yeux Noirs occurred on stages around the world on five continents.

In 2001, the band began a distinguished career in the United States, with more than 300 concerts in 9 years.

In 19 years, Les Yeux Noirs gave nearly 1,300 concerts, and have in particular been invited to perform in prestigious venues.
