- Biography
Born in Cambodia in 1971, Nou Sary does not limit his practice to a single discipline. He works equally well in painting, photography, engravings, drawing, and installations.
His childhood was strongly marked by the trauma caused by the Khmer Rouge regime. After the war, he lived in the street for two years before being accepted in an orphanage.
With degrees from the Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh and the Higher School of Art and Design in Saint-Etienne in France, Nou Sary has exhibited in France and Cambodia, and has conducted several workshops.

- précision
For Nou Sary, Man and Nature are indissociable and form a virtuous circle. Man survives thanks to Nature’s bounty, and, upon his death the body decomposes and thus becomes a source of energy for the earth.
