• Biographie

Née en 1983 au Cambodge

Oeur Sokuntevy a étudié la peinture à Phare Ponleu Selpak à Battambang et s'est installée à Phnom Penh en 2007. Sokuntevy a eu beaucoup d'intérêt dans son travail comme l'une des très rares artistes contemporaines féminines montrant le Cambodge d’aujourd’hui.

Elle a fait des expositions individuelles, notamment Love, Death and Dreams à Utterly Art (Singapour), de l'amour à la mort au Centre culturel français, I Curl in Memory’s Belly à Java Gallery en 2010, et Star Signs à l'Hôtel De La Paix en 2008 (Cambodge). Elle a également fait des expositions collectives Sightlines à la Galerie Noel-Baza Beaux-arts, 2010 (Etats-Unis), la Biennale de Incheon Women Artists (Corée) en 2009, L'art de la survie, à la Meta House, 2008 (Cambodge), etc. Le travail de Sokuntevy est fait parti des collections d'art de l'ambassade de Singapour au Cambodg) et du Musée d'Art de Singapour. Son travail a été publié dans des magazines et journaux, y compris Asia Pacific, Asialife, Cambodge Soir, Phnom Penh Post, The Cambodia Daily et Asia Globe Magazine.
