Anna Katharina Scheidegger, née en Suisse (1976), a fait ses études à l'ENSAD Paris et au Fresnoy, studio national des arts contemporains à Tourcoing.

Anna Katharina Scheidegger, born in Switzerland (1976) made her studies at the ENSAD in Paris and Fresnoy, National Studio of Contemporary Art in Tourcoing (France).
Her work shows urban phenomena, architectural sign, the link between architecture, power and society, past and future. On this theme, she works in photography, film and video, affirming the primacy of the documentary – which she always redefines and clarifies. As to her work led her gradually to serious and difficult subjects. She works more often on people on the margins of society, attracted by these extremes, obsessed to approach the edge of the scale models of life possible.
Her photographs, films and videos have been exhibited in Europe (Grand Palais, Musée du Jeu de Paume, European Media Festival Osnabrück, Interfilm Berlin, Kunsthalle Bern, the Rencontres d'Arles), Korea , Cambodia, Canada, Syria and Brazil, England and Africa, where she was in residency, and where she has conducted workshops with local art schools and exhibited her work.
She has received numerous awards such as the Artist-Swiss Air price, the FNAGP France grant, the price of the Photo of Bern, Switzerland national workshop at the Cité des Arts in Paris.
